E.ON EnergyLab competition
At E.ON we're always on the lookout for the next big idea that will help save valuable energy. We launched the E.ON EnergyLab in October 2007 inviting entrants from all walks of life to come up with an invention or innovation that will change the way energy is used.
The regional heats were held in Cambridge, Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh on the following days.

The final took place at the Tate Modern on 13 March 2008.
The judges
There was a top panel of energy efficiency experts to scrutinise every aspect of the innovations and between them they know a thing or two about inventing and the world of energy. To find out more about judges use the link above.
Prize and winners
Tanya Ewing won the E.ON EnergyLab Award with her monitoring device for electricity, gas and water. Tanya won a £10,000 cash prize.
James Seddon won the 'LIFE-IC Technology Award' with his 'Eggxactly' energy efficient egg cooker.
